English version
" I like going to the market to find out  we can do without." These words were told by Socrates.

Can we do without lace works?
Of course! They are not absolutely necessaryto live, but we like them.
They may be, today like in the past, compared to whims, whims that are yet due to intelligence, creativity and long hours spent experimenting and weaving.
Sometimes the slow, unchanged and ancient gesture of weaving threads creates masterly works which astonish and everybody likes. However when we try to sell them their prices are never right for the buyer who insists on asking for a discount even if they are goods on sale in a suburban market chinesery quite without dignity.
I wonder why works that took long hours to be worked out, that are admired and wished  are usually  objects of degrading negotiations. If we can't afford these kind of whims, it is better not to buy them!
